The HuD Forum®/ Special Events (a Division in the HuD Group) is basically the mouth piece of The HuD Group which aims at bringing the youth together through our Programmes to challenge and equip them to break out and live remarkable lives. The HuD Group is all about God and People.
The Forum helps meet The HuD Group’s quest to inspire and empower young people by running positively inspiring and empowering youth programs.
We are involved in creating fora and providing wholesome entertainment events for Young People. An example is our annual SeXsense Summit, held in conjunction with the Legon Interdenominational Church. This is a straight talk program about sex where we explore and discuss the ‘Sixth Sense’ missing in today’s sex ‘mis-education’. ‘This sixth sense’ is what God say’s about sex, e.g. (1st Cor. 6:13 ‘….the body is not to be used for sexual immorality, but to serve the Lord...’, GNB).
There’s also Hope Alive®! an annual classical/choral music concert under the distinguished patronage of Prof. Emeritus J. H. Kwabena Nketia. This is held on 1st of May every year to mark the HuD Group’s Anniversary and was in 2008 done to launch The HuD Fund®.
The HuD Forum® also constitutes part of the organizing committee of the annual 1st July (Republic Day) National (Christian) Youth Rally. The National (Christian) Youth Rally is an annual soul-winning event (since 2003) organised by various para-church groups including the HuD Group, Scripture Union, YAFCA, GHAFES, Bible Society of Ghana, Challenge Ent., Torchbearers, GCMG, Youth for Christ, The Christian Council of Ghana, Ghana Pentecostal Council and The National Association of Chr. & Charismatic Churches. On the average 500 souls get saved for Christ at this program and are followed up by the Challenge Enterprises through Bible courses. held at the Independence Square.
A major revolutionary novelty program under the sole organization of The HuD Forum is the annual YouthPower! Conference, which features inspiring Young People addressing their peers—Youth inspiring Youth, Youth impacting Youth.
The Forum is still in its formative years but is still learning as the days go by. When we are done, this is what we hope to look like. A self-sustaining, semi-autonomous consultancy with a formidable number of knowledgeable, skilled and warm staff/volunteers who are well-equipped (with materials, finances, technology etc.) to positively impact young people they come into contact with (both in programs and on individual basis).
We shall also be well-resourced enough, in terms of money, men and materials, to offer free empowering programs for disadvantaged young people.
What a joy! It will be. Why don’t you be a part of it.
Who can be a part of The HuD Forum?
Any person who has ‘caught’ The HuD Group’s vision, is committed to its mission, loves people and also has a passion for inspiring and empowering others. HuD Special Events (HuD Forum) people must be people who value integrity especially in terms of being visible practitioners of what they profess/teach.
We usually meet at 5:00pm on the last Saturdays of every month (except in June), currently at the SRC Union Building on the University of Ghana Campus, Legon, Accra and you are most welcome to join us. Click here for a calendar of activities for the year.
